Tipping Your Cleaner
Our Cleaners do not expect tips, so offering a tip is not mandatory. However, we do recognize there are situations when you may wish to show appreciation for the job well done, and our company policy allows our Cleaners to accept them.
How Often and How Much Should You Tip?
If you decide that you wish to tip your Cleaner, you still might be in doubt about how to go about it. You should consider several things, like the kind of services you requested, whether you have the same Cleaner or a different Cleaner each time, and how your rates are determined.
Services Requested
If you are considering tipping your Cleaner, start with the service you requested. If you booked a one-time service, like our Deep Clean or Move-In | Move-Out Service, you can offer a one-time tip. If you decide to book regular cleaning sessions, you can consider tipping more frequently.
The Same vs. Different Cleaner
When you book a cleaning with Clean Wizard, we may send a new Cleaner to your residence, or we may send a Cleaner who is designated to clean your property. You are free to tip your Cleaners as you see fit.
How Much to Tip
When it comes to tipping your Cleaner, the amount you choose to give is entirely up to you. It is customary to give a tip that is between 10%-20% of the total service cost. Most people feel that it is polite and generous to tip their Cleaner for their hard work and dedication. Ultimately, the amount you decide to give should be whatever you feel comfortable with and reflects your appreciation their hard work.
Acceptable Forms of Tipping
Lastly, to tip in cash or some other form?
When tipping your Cleaner, it is important to consider the quality of their service. How friendly, efficient and thorough have they been? Consider the number of hours they have worked and the tasks they have completed. Furthermore, consider the amount of money you are comfortable spending as a tip. A good tip is often 10-20% of the cost of the service. Finally, consider how you want to give the tip. A cash tip is usually the most appreciated, but you may also opt to provide a gift or a letter of appreciation.
